This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the terms under which you may cancel a booking and request a refund for tours or services booked through our website (https://texturedestinations.com) or authorized agents. 1. General Terms
- Applicability: This policy applies to all tours offered by Texture Destinations, including but not limited to Island Peak Climbing, Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, Langtang Valley Trekking, Short Trek around Pokhara, Discover Singapore, Kiwiana Panorama, Anchorage to Quito, Anchorage to La Paz, Cuzco to Anchorage, and Anchorage to Ushuaia.
- Currency: All prices and refunds are processed in Kenyan Shillings (KSh) or US Dollars (USD), as specified at the time of booking.
- Non-Transferable: Bookings and payments are non-transferable to other individuals or tours unless explicitly stated.
2. Cancellation by You
Cancellation Process
- To cancel a booking, you must submit a written request via email to bookings@texturedestinations.com.
- The cancellation date is the date we receive your written request.
- Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 14 business days of approval, using the original payment method.
Refund Eligibility
Refund eligibility depends on the specific tour and the timing of your cancellation. The following general guidelines apply, unless otherwise specified in the tour’s booking terms:
- More than 30 Days Before Tour Start Date:
- Full refund of the tour price, less any non-refundable deposits or administrative fees (typically 10% of the tour price, up to KSh 5,000 or USD 50).
- 15–30 Days Before Tour Start Date:
- 50% refund of the tour price, less any non-refundable deposits or fees.
- Less than 15 Days Before Tour Start Date:
- No refunds, unless the tour is designated as fully refundable at booking.
Non-Refundable Items
- Certain tours, such as promotional or discounted tours (e.g., Kiwiana Panorama during a sale period), may be non-refundable. This will be clearly indicated at the time of booking.
- Deposits, booking fees, or third-party fees (e.g., for visas, permits, or local suppliers) are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
- Additional services, such as travel insurance or optional activities, are subject to the refund policies of the respective providers.
Special Circumstances
- If you are unable to travel due to documented medical emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances (e.g., death in the family), you may be eligible for a partial or full refund, at our discretion. Please provide supporting documentation with your cancellation request.
- Refunds for special circumstances are not guaranteed and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
3. Cancellation by Texture Destinations
We reserve the right to cancel a tour for reasons including, but not limited to, insufficient bookings, safety concerns, weather conditions, or unforeseen events (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest). In such cases:
- You will be notified as soon as possible via email or phone.
- You will receive a full refund of all payments made for the canceled tour, including deposits, within 14 business days.
- Alternatively, you may choose to transfer your payment to another available tour of equal or lesser value, subject to availability. If the alternative tour is more expensive, you will be responsible for the price difference.
- Texture Destinations is not liable for additional costs incurred due to cancellation, such as non-refunded flights, visas, or other travel arrangements.
4. Modifications to Bookings
- Changes by You: Requests to modify a booking (e.g., changing the tour date or destination) must be submitted in writing to bookings@texturedestinations.com. Modifications are subject to availability and may incur additional fees, including but not limited to price differences or administrative charges (up to KSh 5,000 or USD 50 per change).
- Changes by Us: We may modify tour itineraries, accommodations, or other details due to operational needs or unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you of significant changes and offer an alternative tour or refund if the changes materially affect the tour experience.
5. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations, medical emergencies, and other risks. Texture Destinations is not responsible for losses due to cancellations or disruptions not covered by this policy.
6. Exceptions
- Promotional offers or discounted tours (e.g., Kiwiana Panorama at KSh 82.00 instead of KSh 87.00) may have unique cancellation terms, which will be provided at booking.
- Group bookings or custom tours may have separate cancellation policies, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
